Battlestar Galactica is a Columbia Class Battlestar who was intregral in the military prevention of Cylon Operation Homecoming. Galactica was also one of the primary surviving Battlestars after the fall of the 12 Colonies.
Ships History[]
The new Galactica was started as a Fenris Class Battlestar along with the new Columbia. However during its construction several major design changes were made including double weapon reenforced flight pods and more railguns. Also other improvements include better railguns and a improved FTL drive.
The crew of the original Galactica, a Columbia Class Battlestar was transfer to the new Galactica. At the time of Operation Homecoming it was under the command of Commander Rupert Blackbourne before been replaced by Commander William Adama
