Hey. I've been a fan since TOS, and while initially I was wary of the reimagined series it quickly won me over. Basically I joined because I'm a grammar geek. Mistakes jump out at me and stab me in the eyes. When I saw a page that had a bunch of easily fixed mistakes, and saw how easy it would be to fix them, I was signed up and editing in a flash. If you have MIRC which is an IRC chat program I created a room on my friends irc server its addy is

Once you have the infomation inputed into the mirc you type /join #BSG
or you can use this java one, but you will have to join the channel, as it takes you to the two writing ones i am a member of.

Ive been noticing lately on a lot of other Science Fiction based wikis here that there has been an almost disturbingly high amount of critisism and nitpicking of Admins to other users on story/image sourcing and general story structure and content (this includes Memory Gamma). on both MG and Star Wars Fanon there is a annual mass deletion of stories and files that either dont meet the standards of the powers that be, is abandoned, or makes little to no sense.
While these reasons (some at least) are understandable many others are not this seems to be for 2 main reasons.

Ah hi i'm rafe and i just wanted to make sure i got the basic idea of this. so i can create stuff of my own idea and it dosnt have to be cannon rite? so like i could have the bsg find earth and not ram its self into the sun and go from there type thing?
