Earth was the thirteen colonies or "tribes" of mankind after the exodus of the Thirteen Colonies of Kobol millennia ago before being again forced to flee the planet during the 2nd exodus over 500 years after its discovery by the original Colonial Fleet in the late 20th Century. The status of Earth is currently unknown and the Colonial Federation has yet to find a way back. Currently all intelligent life on Earth is considered dead.
