Adelaide Holtz
Adelaide Holtz (born 31 years before the Cylon War) is an Alliance Military adjutant at the rank of 'Lieutenant Commanding' from Terra assisting the head of the Strategic Space Force. The consumate 'courtier'; she employs guile and flattery as necessary to maintain a secure enough existance. Her job is to act as the eyes, ears and herald of her commanding officer though as his administrative assistant she is able to manipulate the information that gets to him to bring about the outcome she feels is right.
Ambitious and smart, her life began humbly but through the youth organisations she joined it was found she had enough aptitude to warrant specialist education; to become a radio technologist. By her late teens this denoted path for her involved work in a factory producing radio sets for the Military. During her compulsory term of service in the Military she was assigned to a Signals division that monitored free radio transmissions from Nationalist nations that could be picked up in the Alliance before she was then transferred to the Space Force as a ground controller for orbital missions. She was one of the staff on duty when the Alliance picked up communication from 'extra-terrestrials' and assisted in the rudimentary deciphering of what they were picking-up. After that incident, which was quickly hushed, her career changed trajectory and her rise is considered meteoric. First issued a commission, then given administrative training and promoted on a 'fast track' she has taken the opportunities given to her and been astute in deflecting any mistakes she may have made along the way to appear an expertly talented mid-ranking Officer.
She currently tours Space Defence Force stations, inspects units and issues directives as advised by her Commanding Officer (who does not have the time to personally see to it) and is seen by the Regiments as 'at Large'.

A statuesque, fair skinned blonde completely able to control her emotions and responses. Impassive she appears frosty and uninfluenced. She only utilises her beauty sparingly, her sexuality however is pronounced in her posturing and dress; she can predispose the male mind towards an imagined outcome she will then play upon to her own advantage. Her own woman; not knowing what makes her tick is part of a carefully stage managed allure but it is certain power is an objective of hers. The stars are her one true interest and she is quite the authority on what is out there as far the Alliance know (which while isn't much, is enough to have fuelled quite a large field of minds and led to a second planned 'great expansion' of the armed forces). Uninterested and as such unthreatenned by the Nationalists, it is rumoured that she would like nothing less than to leave Terra for one of the planned Lunar Colonies or on an expedition to see what is beyond.
