Celtans[]
The Celtans settled on Hibernia several centuries prior to the First Cylon War. The Celtans are a political group of Virgons fiercely opposed to royal rule. The Celtans believe in direct democracy and oppose the royal perrogative of Virgon. Celtans have made various efforts to alter their colony's government, and op until recently, have been unsuccessful. Their efforts to modify the government have since resulted in the change from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional one, limiting royal authority and granting Hibernia a certain degree of autonomy.
While Celtans politically oppose the royal rule from their mother planet, they are in the extreme minority of Virgon subjects. Even as a constitutional monarch, the Sovereign of Virgon is still a wildly popular head of state.
Overview[]
The Virgon moon has a total population of 984,113, with the largest city being Hibernia City. Another city on Hibernia is Porbobelo, which only has a poplulation of about 3,000, and is a refining center for the Colonial energy source, Tylium.
