Colonization[]
Following the Exodus, a group of Humans known as the Leo tribe settled on the planet. Quickly establishing their presence on the planet, the colonists discovered that their greatest rival, the Virgo tribe, had established their presence on the third planet in their system, known as Virgon.
Around 56 AE, a group of young Virgon bombed the Subra Spaceport, hoping to intimidate the Leonians. Instead, they saw this as an act of violence and declared war against Virgon.
Government[]
Leonis is a constitutional democracy, governed by the Constitution of Leonis.
The government is headed by a President, who is elected by the people of the planet for two, 4 year terms. Succeeding the President is the Vice-President, who is also the leader of the Senate. The Presidents powers include being commander-in-chief of the military, appointing ambassadors to the other eleven worlds and vetoing laws which come before him.
The constitution divided Leonis into 42 states, depending on the population of the region. Each of these states are represented in the Congress, which is divided into two houses, the House of Representatives, which is headed by a Speaker and the Senate, headed by the Vice-President.
The Judicial branch is known as the Supreme Court. This branch is headed by a Chief Justice, who serves alongside eight Associate Justices.
