Travis Omega is a character in Wes Imlay's 'Battlestar Victorious' series.
This dislike would cause a rift between Omega and his parents when he decided to attend the Fleet Academy on Picon. Sadly, this rift would last until Omega's parents perished in the Cylon attacks.
Omega graduated from the Fleet Academy the same year as Angela Rigel, the two becoming close friends during their four years at the school. The two would serve together briefly on the battlestar Victorious, Omega taking the position of Tactical Officer, before Rigel was assigned to the recently-completed battlestar Kios.
When the Cylons attacked the Colonies, Battlestar Group 66 was engaged in the secret weapons tests dubbed 'Operation Pedestal'. Rear Admiral Scott Tolan recieved an encrypted message from Admiral Peter Corman ordering him to hold his battle group back and get the decommissioned battlestars Athena and Ares operational again. Tolan's Executive Officer, Commander Charles Watts, was assigned command of the Athena. This prompted Tolan to promote Omega to Colonel to fill the vacant Executive Officer position.
Omega would serve in this capacity until the discovery of the derelict battlestar Achilles. Tolan promoted Megan Domra of the Sphinx as its new Commanding Officer and gave her the pick of any officer in the fleet to serve as her Executive Officer, she promptly chose Omega and he was assigned to the Achilles.Eventually Omega would be promoted to Commander and given command of the Sphinx. He would keep this position until the Sphinx was heavily damaged and nearly lost during the Second Battle of Cosmora when a Cylon Raider suicide dived into the hangar deck.
