The Viper Mark Two (Also known as Viper Mk.II) replace the original Viper Mark One. It came into service in the latter half of the Cylon War. Viper Mark II.
The Viper Mk.II shares a similar design to the earlier Mk.I but features improvements over the original Viper incorporated into the design as a result of combat experience against the Cylons.
Due to its popularity, it has shown up in many Fan fiction stories for example the Battlestar Hyperion found several of them still in the box at a abandoned Space Station.
The Viper Mark II will also appear in Battlestar Leonidas.
A heavily modified version named "Faith" appears in the Battlestar Dauntless stories.
